About Us
Manhattan General Service connects the A.A. groups of Manhattan with Area 49 (South Eastern New York) and the General Service Office. Our purpose is to support groups in carrying the A.A. message by linking them to the wider service structure.
In SENY, A.A. groups are organized through counties and districts. Manhattan has its own county service structure, which is further divided into districts, including one Hispanic district serving Spanish-speaking groups. Each county or district is guided by a District Committee Member Chair (DCMC), who helps coordinate service and communication.

CONTRIBUTE TO MANHATTAN GENERAL SERVICE
Your contributions support the work of connecting A.A. groups in Manhattan to the broader service structure of Alcoholics Anonymous., covering expenses for county meetings, workshops, Share-a-Day, essential service materials, and countless resources that carry the A.A. message throughout Manhattan and beyond.
The Seventh Tradition states, “Every A.A. group ought to be fully self-supporting, declining outside contributions.”
While contributions cover each group’s rent and other expenses, the Seventh Tradition is essential at every level of A.A. service.
